TRIBUTES

"The Historical Memory"
A tribute to Gonzalo Torrente Ballester

In spite of his little known work at films, Torrente Ballester wrote the script of several films at the late forties and early fifties. From that time, two examples of the best Spanish film industry are conserved, Surcos and Rebeldía. Besides, the Galician writer has several TV serials and films, as Los gozos y las sombras and the film El rey pasmado, based on his books. With the screening of these films and the issue of a book, the Festival keenly goes on standing out the different Galician personalities at the film world.
