Ángeles Huerta

Director. After several short films, she made her debut film Esquece Monelos, released in the 21st OUFF as a WIP, with which she won many prizes (among them the Mestre Mateo Award for Best Documentary and a Special Jury Mention in the last Documenta Madrid). She is currently preparing her second feature film, O corpo aberto, a fiction story set at the beginning of the 20th century on the Galician border.

 

Gregorio Ferreiro Fente

Having been a teacher at public secondary schools, he is now a technical advisor for the General Secretariat of Linguistic Policy in the Galician Regional Government, a public entity within which he has participated in the drafting, implementation and coordination of projects such as the General Plan for Standardization of the Galician Language and the Galician Interdepartmental Commission. At the same time, he is the author of books and articles and essays on writers, appeared in magazines, journals and newspapers.

 

Héctor Domínguez-Viguera Queija

He was born in Ourense in 1984. For several years he worked as a screenwriter for different producers at state and international level. In 2013 he founded his production company Zerkalo Films. That same year he wrote and directed two short films: La nana and Ella y el espejo. In 2015 he wrote and directed El pozo, a short film starring Aitana Sánchez-Gijón. He is currently developing his first documentary feature, Tierra de leche y miel, and writing his first feature film, Nuit Blanche.

 

Manoli Maseda

Ourense, 1965. She holds a PhD in Education Sciences from the University of Vigo. Right now she coordinates the teams of linguistic revitalization of the province of Ourense.

 

Sara Casasnovas

Actress born in Ourense. She has spent years acting and is known to the public for fictions such as Arriya, Tercer grado, Gernika, bajo las bombas, Hospital central, La chica de ayer o Amar en tiempos revueltos, having received many awards and prizes. Her last challenge has been directing her first short Escarabana, recently premiered at Sitges Film Festival’s Official Section; it will also be screened at the 22nd OUFF.
