Juggling with film and theatre, acting and directing, Elena Martín has founded the theatrical experimentation laboratory Els Malnascuts (Sala Beckett), has directed the play POOL (NO WATER), among others, and has starred as Ágata in the film Las amigas de Ágata (2015).
Júlia ist was her directorial debut, and has received the Silver Biznaga awards for Best Film and Best Direction at the Málaga Film Festival.

Galega, in charge of NUMAX Cinema and NUMAX Distribution Co., which has recently released in Spain films such as Mimosas (Oliver Laxe), Horse Money (Pedro Costa) or The Idea of a Lake (Milagros Mumenthaler). As a filmmaker, he has directed VidaExtra (2013), Galicia 1936-2011. Estudos sobre o filme de Carlos Velo (2011), O proceso de Artaud (2010) y CCCV-Cineclube Carlos Varela (2005).
Born in Xove (Lugo), he studied Cinema at University of León. He produced, wrote and directed several short films including Eco (2015), Ser e voltar (2014) and Anacos (2012), present in many national and international festivals such as Locarno, New Directors / New Films MoMA, Telluride, BAFICI, Mar del Plata, Clermont Ferrand … He is currently working on his first feature film, Trote, in post-production stage.
