AWARDS

Competition awards will be granted by juries appointed by the organization. Awards may not be void or granted ex-aequo.

The juries for feature films and short films may not award more than two awards to the same film.

The jury for documentaries may not award more than one award to the same film.

Audience awards will be granted by the audience, who will vote the films after the screenings.

The decisions of the juries and the audience will be final, there is no right to appeal against them.

The awards for the 15th Festival will be these:

FEATURE FILMS

• Calpurnia Grand Prix for Best Feature Film: 15,000.- Euros

• Audience Award for Best Feature Film: 5,000.- Euros

• “Carlos Velo” Award for Best Director: 4,000.- Euros

• Special Jury Award: 3,000.- Euros

• “Cidade de A Coruña” Award for Best Screenplay: 2,000.- Euros

• Best Actress Award: 1,500.- Euros

• Best Actor Award: 1,500.- Euros

DOCUMENTARIES

• Calpurnia Grand Prix for Best Documentary: 5,000.- Euros

• Audience Award for Best Documentary: 2,000.- Euros

• “Cidade de Vigo” Award for Best Director: 2,000.- Euros

• Identity / Cultural Diversity Award (*): 2,000.- Euros

(*) For the documentary that best expresses the values of cultural identity, diversity and understanding between cultures

SHORT FILMS

• Calpurnia Grand Prix for Best Short Film: 5,000.- Euros

• Audience Award for Best Short Film: 2,000.- Euros

• Best Director Award: 2,000.- Euros

• Best Actress Award: 1,000.- Euros

• Best Actor Award: 1,000.- Euros

ANIMATED FILMS

• Best Animated Film Award: 5,000.- Euros

NEW MEDIA

• Innovation in New Media Award (*): 2,500.- Euros

(*) For audiovisual productions, installations, video-art creations, films for mobile phones, TDT, etc. of any running time which, using non-traditional formats and/or techniques, explore new creative and communicative ways

EIXO ATLÁNTICO AWARD

• Eixo Atlántico Award (*): 3,000.- Euros

(*) For the best film produced in Galicia or Portugal from any competition section

LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

If deemed appropriate, the Festival may dedicate an award / tribute to an artistic or technical professional who has devoted their life to film and / or audiovisual industry.

ECONOMIC DISTRIBUTION OF AWARDS

FEATURE FILMS

• Calpurnia Grand Prix for Best Feature Film's 15,000 Euros will be distributed as follows: 50% for the production company and 50% for the distribution company that proves to have acquired the film exhibition rights for Spain prior to the beginning of the Festival. If there is no distribution company in Spain, 50% will be for the production company and 50% for the director.

• Audience Award for Best Feature Film's 5,000 Euros will be distributed as follows: 50% for the production company and 50% for the distribution company that proves to have acquired the film exhibition rights for Spain prior to the beginning of the Festival. If there is no distribution company in Spain, 50% will be for the production company and 50% for the director.

• “Carlos Velo” Award for Best Director's 4,000 Euros will go entirely to the director.

• Special Jury Award's 3,000 Euros will be distributed as follows: 50% for the production company and 50% for the distribution company that proves to have acquired the film exhibition rights for Spain prior to the beginning of the Festival. If there is no distribution company in Spain, 50% will be for the production company and 50% for the director.

• “Cidade de A Coruña” Award for Best Screenplay's 2,000 Euros will go entirely to the screenwriter.

• Best Actress Award's 1,500 Euros will go entirely to the winning actress.

• Best Actor Award's 1,500 Euros will go entirely to the winning actor.

DOCUMENTARIES

• Calpurnia Grand Prix for Best Documentary's 5,000 Euros will be distributed as follows: 50% for the production company and 50% for the director.

• Audience Award for Best Short Film's 2,000 Euros will be distributed as follows: 50% for the production company and 50% for the director.

• Best Actress Award's 1,000 Euros will go entirely to the winning actress.

• Best Actor Award's 1,000 Euros will go entirely to the winning actor.

ANIMATED FILMS

• Best Animated Film Award's 5,000 Euros will be distributed as follows: 50% for the production company and 50% for the director.

NEW MEDIA

• Innovation in New Media Award's 2,500 Euros will go entirely to the author or director of the audiovisual work.

• Eixo Atlántico Award's 3,000 Euros for the best film produced in Galicia or Portugal will be distributed as follows: 50% for the production company and 50% for the director.
