What is it?
The OUFF Escola film competition was created with the aim of promoting the use of Galician language among young people, knowing their vision on their sociocultural environment and promoting audiovisual creativity and teamwork in a language that is attractive for students and contributes to generate a critical spirit.
This competition also aims to promote the use of information and communication technologies in schools and to create a benchmark for audiovisuals done in the classroom. This initiative is framed as a tool within the European Directive on Media Literacy, which seeks to train young people on knowledge and evaluation of the audiovisuals.
“Filmmaking in Galicia possible. Filmmaking in Galician language is necessary, as any culture needs cinema in order to survive.” Chano Piñeiro.
ORGANIZED BY: the Department of Culture and Language Standardization and the Ourense International Film Festival (OUFF), in collaboration with the Galician General Secretariat of Linguistic Policy.
