At the end of the 19th century, gaucho Juan Moreira was imprisoned for rebelling against the abuses of the powers that be. He faced the police and his history was spread among civilians and workers, obtaining the people’s respect and admiration. Nevertheless, his prestige turned him into a wildcard for the sides of generals Mitre and Alsina in the Revolution of 1874.
