How can the silent storm of love’s urges be put into pictures? Perhaps by chasing Ana Moreira’s face when love and heartbreak hit her, as Jorge Crámez does here. Or perhaps by fusing the faces of the protagonists with classic paintings to reveal that, in fact, romantic feelings move through eternal circles. Cinema will always be a game and love will be a mystery, two ideas to bury yourself in through a captivating mise-en-scène. Everyone is silent and one gaze sums up all the sense. And although many things are said, words wilt.

Jorge Crámez
Graduated in Media Studies, Filmmaking and Editing at the Lisbon Theatre and Film School. His first feature film, O capacete dourado, was selected for the official competition in Locarno. He currently teaches language and narrative techniques in film and video at Lusófona University in Lisbon.
